1. To determine your available amount to start your budget click the 'Income' button to define your estimated monthly income and fixed expenses.
2. Add your own custom categories by clicking the 'Add Category' button.
3. Edit each category name and your target budget amount.
4. Save your budget and start recording receipts by clicking the shopping cart button in each category. Try our mobile version to simplify this process and record your receipts in real-time.
5. Define your savings goals by clicking the 'Add Savings Goal' button.
6. Check back on a regular basis to track your spending and savings.

• Q: Is my information safe?
  A: Absolutely! We will never share your contact, budget or financial information with anyone.
• Q: Why do I need to enter my own receipts?
  A: spendbrite is different than other budgeting systems. It is designed around the thinking that the best way to budget is to be responsible and accountable for your spending. The goal is to help you to look at and think about what and how you're spending.
• Q: Why can't I sync the data from my bank account?
  A: A budget is only as good as how you use it. spendbrite's goal is to help you be more conscious about how you spend your money. We do this by providing a simple tool to create visibility and accountabiliy for you budget as opposed to just providing updates on the decisions you've already made.
• Q: Will spendbrite always be free?
  A: Our goal is to provide an easy tool to help people better manage their budget. We developed spendbrite based on a budgeting system that worked for us and want to share it with others. Our hope is that through advertising, affliate programs, and other methods we can cover some of the costs of development and hosting. So, will it always be free? That's our hope. And, of course if we ever do decide to charge for the use of spendbrite any accounts that are free today will continue to be free.
